The popularity of tequila and its sibling mezcal, are skyrocketing – and people are experimenting with their own flavors and infusions. Traditionally, a mezcal tasting cup is a jicaras, or small cup made from the bark of the jicara fruit. The wide mouth of a jicara cup allows the alcohol to evaporate, leaving room for the full expression of the mezcal.

Meet our Glassblowing Artisans
Javier Gutierrez Esponsa and his team of dedicated glassblowers are located in Tonala, Mexico. Glassblowing is an art that takes up to 20 years to master, and Javier’s team has glassblowers of different skill levels. They share learnings, and experiment with glass techniques to produce stunning new work.
